Pocket Watch Basics
This is the place to ask those "dumb questions" about watches or timekeeping. Functional questions like "What is the hairspring for?" or vocabulary questions like "What makes it a double sunk dial?" are especially welcome.

My Favorite Watches
This topic has been inspired by the interesting and enlightening series of articles written by Charles Kalish starting in the December 1959 Bulletin where he would take photos of his favorite watches and give a brief description of them. Pocket Watch enthusiasts are encouraged to post a picture and a short description of one or some of their favorite watches. I would like to add that the watches posted do not necessarily have to be rare or expensive, the idea is just to have some fun and maybe learn a little bit more about other pocket watches not necessarily in your collecting realm. lc
